Don't keep junk food in the house and you won't be tempted to eat it: Don't keep junk food in the house and you'll end up taking out the entire jar of nut butter with a spatula since it's the only thing around.

Binging is because of lack of self-control: Binging is because of unresolved emotional tensions or not allowing yourself to eat what you really want, when you really want it.

Have a cheat meal once in a while to cut down cravings: Don't put any foods off limits and they'll stop being so special.

Don't add sugar to anything because processed sugar is BAD: If adding a spoonful of sugar to your cocoa powdered oatmeal will satisfy your chocolate craving, don't pretend that unsweetened chocolate will satisfy you.

White flour is BAD, whole grains are GOOD: Food is not inherently good or bad. Food is neutral.

When you feel a craving coming on, it's because you're lacking x nutrient, so eat this food: When you feel a craving for chocolate coming on, eat half a chocolate bar instead of greek yogurt, a big bowl of fruit, three pieces of ezekiel bread, a cup of nuts, and three chocolate bars anyway.

Scrolling through pages of fitness models will motivate you to get in shape: Scrolling through pages of fitness models will cause feelings of inadequacy and self-disrespect.

Lack of discipline and self-control are responsible for fitness failures: Depriving yourself of what you really want and getting burned out on exercise are responsible for fitness failures.

You can look like this fit person if you stay on track: You will look like what healthy you is supposed to look like when you do exercise that makes you happy and eat foods that make your body AND mind feel good!<p>this took me some time to realize</p>

Living room still not fixed. Kind of eager to pole with this “nice” hot humid weather. Well a good use of the misery anyway. (I’m a polar bear!) I hope Stronglifts + some assisted pull ups keeps me in shape. Also I am doing it wrong so there’s that too. Working on it. Oh god my bodyweight is in this pic. Oh well.

But I’ve decided to try something new in the meantime. Stronglifts 5x5, a basic beginner (and beyonnnnd, it promises) strength routine. I swear by kettlebells and body weight exercises, but they say basic lifts are supreme. (Who are “they”? No clue.) Here’s to hoping this helps me stay in some shape for when I put my living room back together and re-start pole again. Knowing me it’ll take a month…  Should start doing some agility drills too I guess. But baby steps.

Emma is an amazing person and incredible at what she doesnt and the fact she’s such a nice friendly person only makes that fact she’s a pole inspiration to A LOT of women all the better

So proud of Emma and love that I go to her studio and have lessons of her amazing instructors :)

A pole goal

Trying to recondition to get back into this. Never not be sore or not be recovering from a pole-related bruise…

If I’m out of ideas, a gemini-star-superman combo attempt should do the trick. Anything superman.

HEY HEY HEY (I’ve been watching Warehouse 13, so in Steve Lattimer’s voice if you will), look my messy apartment is back! It’s possible a lot of the things in the background haven’t been physically touched in 2 years!

Today I learned: One handed front hook spins are easy. It might even be easier than having both hands on the pole. (Please excuse the foot position…it was a rushed video grab =P)

Also confirmed that nothing is wrong with my legs in the Pike hip hold as I had previously thought…if I just will them together at the ankles the rest will follow. My feet used to just hang out 8 inches apart, but I knew my knock kneed legs ain’t that bad! It’s magic. The slightest of knee bends. Pre-hiatus pike was still better though?

Bonus: My tummy pooch is still out of control. Here’s hoping I can pole my way into my bridesmaid dress by July. Sleeveless at least.
